Gdansk University



Grzegorz Piotrowski is an assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Gdańsk and a senior researcher at European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk, Poland. He focuses on research on radical social movements, civil society, and democratisation in Central and Eastern Europe. He is also a vice president of Zatoka Foundation, a Polish NGO focused on supporting and conducting research, and organising academic events

Nigel Copsey is a historian based at Teesside University (UK). He specialises in the study of both historical and contemporary forms of anti-fascism. His primary specialism has been the history of anti-fascism in Britain, but more recently he has been approaching anti-fascism from comparative, transnational, and global perspectives.

Marco Bresciani is Associate Professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Florence

His main research field are the political and intellectual of Italian and European antifascism and anti-totalitarianism, the political and social history of fascism, nationalism and conservatism in interwar Europe, with a special focus on the post-Habsburg Upper Adriatic, and on socialism and liberalism in the transformations and transitions between the 1970s and 1990s.

Jelena Đureinović is a historian based at the University of Vienna interested in the history and memory of antifascism in Yugoslavia and the post-Yugoslav space. Her current project is a connected history of antifascism and anticolonialism after 1945, focusing on relations between Yugoslavia and anti-colonial liberation movements from Africa.
